The Government of Ukraine has adopted a decision that allows issuing national cashback for purchases of Ukrainian goods through the Diia app. This innovation is aimed at supporting domestic production and encouraging consumers to buy Ukrainian products.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on August 20, according to which a national cashback of 10% for the purchase of Ukrainian goods can be issued through the Diia app.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation explained that cashback can be received for any domestic goods, from food to furniture. Payments will also apply to medicines and medical devices.
How to get cashback for Ukrainian goods
To receive 10% cashback for your purchases, you need to open a special account and issue a virtual or physical card at the bank. Then, in the Diia mobile application, you need to select the National Cashback service.
According to Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, it will be as easy as applying for a “Covid thousand” or payments for IDPs without the need to visit government agencies or banks.
The service will be available to manufacturers and sellers who apply for participation in the program. However, participation is voluntary, so it will be necessary to check the availability of cashback for a particular product in stores, which can also be done on the program’s website.
