Ukrainians are already accustomed to scheduled blackouts. However, the approach to stabilizing blackouts may soon change. This was reported by Expert.
Power outages are planned to be the same for all regions. Different schedules for each region will be a thing of the past, and the country will be divided into conditional zones, which will allow for an even distribution of outages. Thus, there will be no large areas where people will be without electricity at the same time.
To make the process fairer
The new division will be based on the specifics of electricity supply in different regions. Experts believe this decision is logical, as some regions are dependent on imported electricity, while others rely on their own sources.
Therefore, after the division into zones, the power supply should be more even, and the differences in the schedules of outages will be reduced. Such innovations will help improve the management of electricity consumption in the regions and the stability of the power system.
The media outlet reminds that the Ministry of Energy has introduced changes to the instructions for drawing up outage schedules to make the process fairer. Thus, the maximum duration of a blackout should not exceed 6 hours.

Only two regions in Ukraine have not become poorer since 2021.
